Why Chose Local Flowers?
What makes my backyard- grown flowers unique and extra special?
Most of my flowers were started from seed, in my kitchen and grown on shelves in my basement before being planted in my garden.
I grow flowers in the climate that you live in! I have what is in season locally right now!
I have varieties and colors that you cannot find in a store. Some of these delicate flowers do not ship well, and you will not see them in the grocery store.
These flowers were not shipped. They were harvested at exactly the right time, and put into your hands immediately. It doesn't get fresher than that!
I am always conscious of the environmental impact. There is no shipping, no harmful chemicals, I will not plant anything invasive, I focus on plants the pollinators love, and try to limit single-use plastics in every way we can. You may even find some New Jersey Natives in your bouquets!
These flowers were cared for and loved by my family. They were started from seed, checked on everyday, pinched by me, weeded by me, hardened off by me, harvested by me, and arranged by me! (With help from my husband and three mini garden helpers). They are truly as special as the moments they create.
